i've just realized something lately....

last night i was able to go out with my other set of friends, eat dinner and watch a movie afterwards. i had fun last night. and i mean i really had fun last night. it was a chance for me to see everyone again after several months. although the get-together is supposed to be for one of us thats going abroad for several months -work related though. for some of us there is (and i quote) "professional envy" but of course we are all happy for him. but more than that we are all happy to see each other again.

for me though its a bit of a different story. as the title of this blog suggests, i have just realized that i had and still do have feelings for this person. i know i've blogged about this before - when it started out from an email survey back in college and my friends tried to dig deeper into that email reply of mine to know who the heck am i pertaining to as a "crush". i guess this crush became more than just a crush until it inevitably took control of me somehow. ok that might be a bit overboard - that might not even emmanate from me visually. but it really did feel that way. right now im lost, i want to have a talk with one of my friends but i m afraid that they might think otherwise of me or even judge me. sigh... will do try to talk about this with someone close to me.

its been quite a while since my last pos <- teka gasgas na itong line na ito sa blogger ...

anyways, with the cliche aside lets just say I'm quite picky about what to blog - heck even my friends dont blog as often as before anymore. maybe work is tiring us down or maybe we just dont feel like blogging as often as before. right now we're going gaga over posting pictures on flickr.com the site, its quite fun actually.

havent been in constant contact with my friends lately since me and joan's birthday. I wonder how life is for them right now. I know life aint the same since we graduated from college and everything we dreamt or imagined of about our life after college is totally different and a lot idealistic from what we are actually into. but maybe not everyone. some of us either had a lot of luck of some sort, a majestical help from their ancestors or something like that - which lead them to have a good job that they really like and even have a good pay (maybe thats a bit too much, they may just get either a high pay with an ok job or the other way around) - for the rest of us we may have a job for the sake of having a job, get one that is "used as a stepping stone and gain experience" or even just take the first job offer since it hard to find a job that you want or all of the companies to want to be in doesnt want you. but i think ultimately there is a time for all of us to flourish. for some of us it may be right now (especially for our certified braniacs) but for the rest of us its just a matter of time - and before we know it we're reaching success.

sigh... im having really bad time this past few weeks. its so depressing that no matter how want things to stay the same - change is really bound to happen one way or another. im talking about big changes in life not just the small things like changing a habbit. before i wasn't thinking about these things because i thought it wouldnt happen to us - to me. i know someone near and dear to me who is also undergoing this life changing moment. her loved one currently on medication due to a common illness - common to some that is but really hard to fight. right now i guess i could say that i am going through that same obstacle in life, as hers. its hard to see our loved ones struggle to get through these challenges in life, specially when it occured on a later time of their lives. we want to help them all throughout but we can only do so much. its heartbreaking to think too much of the possibilities of what might happen. all we could do now is pray - pray as hard as we can that we may get through these obstacles and regain that track that we once have lost. yes! its true! that guilty feeling we get when we try to live a pretty normal life and go out with friends or even just ourselves to relax a bit. we cant help but think of our loved ones - how they are doing, if they need help if they need you. i know im there when they need me but what if im not there. even though i want to be there i cant because i also have work to think about. are these things meant to happen one way or another. we always see or here about this stuff happen to other people but to see these things happen to ourselves ... it just makes me want to sit in a corner and ... ... ...

Some long overdue posts ... well eto yung NetLab sa LaSalle where we trained for CCNA, ayan yung mga routers and switches at ang mala-spaghetti na mga Cat5 wires ayan grabe nakakalito talaga pag madami na hehe... theres the rest of the lab with all the OLD computers and a divider in the middle sabi nila kunwari daw 2 buildings - as if buwahahahaha... tapos yung bagong laptop ng caleb ayan!! its an asus desktop replacement...

a summer trip to memory lane - bicol, ragay, camarines sur

this summer we went to our ancestral home in Bicol - Ragay, Camarines Sur..it really was quite a breathtaking sight to look back and take a walk down memory lane ... everything is still as they were when we got there though really old and broken, specially the train station where we used to go down whenever we too the provincial train of the Philippine National Railways back in the days...

we did a lot of things there in Bicol although it wasn't really kind of a vacation trip but rather like a business trip ... our main agenda was to try and assess my lola's farm there in Bicol since she's already old and couldn't go back as easily as before - there weren't any trains running to ride in since the accident in Quezon last year ... and about the trains, I really miss riding those big-steel-linear vehicles, even though it would take you about 8-10 hours overnight to get to Bicol its still fun to ride those things specially when you get to be in Quezon when you wake up in the morning and see all the mountains, coconut trees and farms - since the trains go pass through them ... well the roads that we took followed the path of the train tracks so its kind like going on a train ride although we just go through the different bayans in the journey... really the train is our main vehicle of transportaion since (as you can see in the pictures - just click the title to get to the pictures or click the picture above :-D) the Ragay main station is located just across our ancestral home... you can even say its a real life "home along the riles" kind of situation... now since our old ancestral house ain't livable as of the moment since its been "abandoned" =D for at least 12 years now, we stayed in Naga City - the capital of Bicol... we stayed there for the duration of our stay while going back to Ragay in the morning and trying to carry out our "mission" =D ... having to stay in Naga was exhilirating since its my first time to go there, when I was a kid I really liked to go to Naga since it was just a 2 hour train ride from our house... Naga really is a city as people are describing it, it only lacks an SM Department Store and its alredy complete =D...

well i guess thats it for now... theres nothing more I can say but one thing...

this holy week we went to pangasinan - as we always do during the lenten season ... not only got to spend time with my grandmom and relative but a time to spend with someone who we owe everything to ... still we did a lot of things there - we even got to have a little mini-penitence as we walked our way from my lola's home up to the Church of Manaoag ... its a little tiring but exciting since its just my second time to do it and it really took us 1 1/2 hours to get to the Church ... i also got to live out a willie wonka chocolate facory experience =D lola got this chocolate tree - actually a Cacao Tree with a lot of ripe pods thats ready to pick out ... we extracted the seeds from the pods and sun-dried them - until here in manila ... i still havent had the chance to toast them and grind it into powder form ... but when you do that its the real and authentic chocolate that we all love ....

Happy Anniversary to my Mom and Dad!! ... today is my parent's wedding anniversary they got married for around my age :-D ... we got to celebrate their anniversary in eastwood city, libis and ate at an itallian resto ... although i think i would prefer if we went to itallianis ... ironically the resto we ate in is quite new and barely a month old ... anyways the food was great the place was great ... ironically this is ther first time that i went there - that is going there eating and walking around ... but we had fun going there, a lot of different people - rich people - making me feel a bit out of place ;-p ...
now: as seen in the next picture is Mr. Robotik!! haha.. well i dont think its his name or how they are called - since there are two of them - but i just wanna give them the name ... its a street act just where they would pose as a statue then when you put money in the containers in front of them they would move a bit ... it was hilarious when there were these girls who got frightened and kept shouting when the guy moved unexpectedly ... i also though of the place as someplace big but it was kind of disappointing when i realized that it was really just a small place that you can go around at for just an evening ... but we enjoyed the place really... punta naman tayo nood tayo movies dun sawa na yata kayo sa glorrieta :-D

(imagine ryan seacrest as kris aquino =D)pilipinas...its your top 10 and 4 of them will be voted out of the competition once more tonight!!! again if your favorite is eliminated from the competition, its because america didn't do its job to keep him or her in the competition =D
... im still hoping of a twist that will bring judd harris back in the competition since its obvious that there ain't gonna be any wildcard show to put anyone back ... tuesday and the boys went at it - i do think they did a pretty good job that last week ... they went out just as they are and go it on (as nikko smith sang: lets get it on!! and while getting it on and beating around the bush ... anwar came in unexpectedly and sang: what's going on?!?!?!) ... anyways they were all good except for some that still didn't quite got the height of their game ... joe murena stepped it up a little bit but its still not enough for the judges to be impressed [sean connery: im waiting to be impresshhhed!] joseph is already a known singer in his home state and quite frankly I think he's good .. he just have to bring it out more and take the risk to impress ... and for the rest of them ... well we all know who's gonna be booted out and who's gonna stay (i hope=D) ... wednesday, the girls went on to attack mode ... (simon: honestly i don't know what to say *kibit balikat lamang po*) ... i guess i'd have to agree with simon for once ... the girls tried to take a little risk but they just didn't quite do it right and messed out a little of their sparkle on stage ... janay castine did a song thats just isn't her.. i mean she's young and all and she should've picked a song that is just right for her ... still im all go for Carrie Underwood!! haha!! ... i just don't know why the three blind mice didn't like her song and her performance ... for me it was great and she did well ... GO Carrie GO!!

a reminiscence of the days

we attanded the Lasallian Network (LAN) gathering tonight & sort of expected too much of it ... me and grace decided to go to the gathering a little to the last minute - that is just this afternoon ... but we went anyway since its an opportunity for us to "get hired" - hence part of the slogan ... i really thought that there would be people who would refer us an opening or would even help us get some form of job assistance ... but it turned out, well not that bad i guess, although I must say that the Php200 registration fee ain't worth it .... specially on the food - they chose a high class (or by the looks of it) type of foods but with a serving that is not even fit for a dinner plate ... its a dinner gathering and they should have at least considered good food ... >-(

anyways there were a lot of light moments in the gathering specially when we got to see some familiar faces there ... it was fun and ecstatic talking to them since it was a while since i last saw them :-p so it wasn't really quite a waste of time =D somehow it was fun being there and even listening the experiences of our fellow CCS alumni ... the people were from Catch85 up to Catch2T4(us :-p) ... but at least i got an application for IBM

today was quite a day, new opportunities came my way and with these new opportunities it may shine a light in our future as IT Executives and even successful Entrepreneurs (maybe its a bit exagerated =D) ... although its still a bit bothering that people want to see new graduates as already formed and an all-knowing work-force ... on the contrary new graduates only carry flexible and basic artilleries, inexperienced and needs further preparation in order to fit in a niche in this trade... but some are different ... flexibility is one key to the success of this break and a vast and diverse pool of skills and knowledge would go well with building up its core ... lots of ideas came to ... lots of expansions are brainstormed ... lots of prospects that are suitable not only for us as IT people but also for our society ... even to help our staggering economy ... still its a concept that needs a lot of hardwork and perseverance ... do you have what it takes to survive!? will you take the challenge and cooperate with other people whether you like them or not in order for you to step up and take a chance in this industry!?

on a lighter note, its nice to know Lasallians open new doors to fellow Lasallians ... I do feel proud that I graduated from this school and the young industry that I am in opens up and will open up new doors for me ... it really is important to keep a close relation to your peers especially your colleagues for they are part of your network and you need that network in order to keep up in this industry and grab every good opportunity that may come your way ...

everything is given to us by God in His time ... some people may get their success in life early and some soon after ... even in different forms, shapes and sizes ...
